Today, all of my roommates handed in their vacating notice unexpectedly. They are all moving to a new house together in two weeks, leaving me to be either homeless or forced to pay 4 times what I was paying in rent. FML

Today, after my housemate handed in his notice to vacate without telling me beforehand, I had few days whilst working to make a decision to stay or vacate. In a panic, I chose vacate. On my day off I sat down with my finances and discovered I can't afford elsewhere. I asked to stay, my landlord put up rent by 50%. I might now become homeless. FML

Today, I came home to found all of my belongings out on the street. My roommate, who is also my brother, apparantly neglected to pay his part of the rent, and we got evicted. FML

Today, I was informed that my flatmate had not handed his documents in to the new landlord like he'd told me. We are due to move to a new area tomorrow for the new job that I start in 4 days. Now we can't move for another week. Anyone have a spare couch? FML

Today, I was finally starting to relax after a stressful and expensive move, where I had to give up half my belongings and furniture, as well as my cat. All the stress came rushing back as my new landlord told me that he's selling the building and I've got 30 days to vacate. FML

Today, my roommate of a year and good friend of several more decided to move out. When I came home from a long work shift, I found all the cupboards emptied out of everything, including all the new stuff I bought to replace what she was going to take with her. FML

It can work out. I found a great roommate on Craigslist who lived with me for a year and through her I met my second roommate who has been with me the past year and will stay with me for at least another. You just have to ward off the creeps and spammers, and through perseverance can find the right person to be your roommate.

I've found a new household on Craigslist 3 times, each within a few days. I've brought aboard new roommates twice, each within a couple days (I've had great longevity at each of these places and roommates, at least a year each). There are always other people just as desperate, if not more so, than OP. Craigslist is a fine resource. I've also gotten 3 jobs using it, the last of which I've happily been at for almost 4 years now.

I'm pretty sure if they're all moving away together from OP, they don't want to live with him/her anymore. But if they don't want to live with OP then I feel like OP did something to make them not want to stay.
