Today, I was unsuccessful in getting a job at a supermarket. The same supermarket I used to work at. I now have a degree but can't even get a job at a place I used to work. FML

Today, I tried to find a job. Again. It's been seven years since I earned more than 70€ in a month, seven years since I moved back in with my parents, and seven years since I was registered as having a medical disability. Nobody wants me, not even as a shelf stacker. FML

Today, I decided I don’t need to restrict my consumption of shrimp anymore, which I used to do because they are so expensive. So, did I finally land a well-paying job? Nope. It's just that all the other kinds of seafood have risen so much in price that it doesn’t make any difference now. FML

Today, I realized i'm practically incapable of actually getting a job. I'm 19 years-old, with no workforce experience, I frequently apply to jobs and regularly follow up with them on a consistent basis, yet they still ghost or reject me outright. These are minimum wage, starter-level jobs. FML

Keep applying and don't give up. If your standards are too high lower them. If all else fails, work at a grocery store; they take pretty much everybody. But also try to get an education so you can get a better job down the road.

De pooping shrimp? Sounds like you are a hard worker willing to do anything to make your money. People should be glad to have you. You will find a job soon.

That's one of the sucky things about jobs today. You try to get a decent job but they want experience. How do they expect you to GET experience if no one will hire you? It's ridiculous...

I have some experience and I still can't get a job. It's tough out there, dude. I live in a ski resort town and we have had minimal snow this year so the job market is pretty much nonexistant. Even when the season is good job hunting still sucks. I suggest building up a tutoring and/or babysitting profile. There are websites that help you do so and connect you with parents that can hire you. I've gotten a few jobs through them. Best we can do right now. Hang in there!
