Today, I had two 100's and two singles in my wallet. The two 100's was for my electric bill and the two singles were for the bus. Once I got off the bus and to the electric company, I noticed only my singles were there. Turns out I paid the bus driver $200. FML

I still don't understand why people blindly reach into their wallets and give people money without checking. That's a stupid move.

To the people asking why he didn't pay his bill online, there are some places that absolutely REFUSE to put their bills online, making it impossible to pay online. :) Please, think before you post. Especially if this is a small town.

#64 even if its a small town, there is the option of telephone banking (at least there is in Canada). And that still doesn't answer the question of why OP (what is OP by the way?) Didn't look at what he was grabbing before putting it in the bill acceptor?

Oh, I think OP (Original Poster, btw) is stupid for not looking at the notes. :) And there are businesses here in my town that won't accept it online or over the phone. They're vital services, too. Obviously not everybody's towns do it that way, but I just felt the need to point out there are some places that aren't online.

Ok seriously!?! Who does this? Why wouldn't you have your $2 ready for when the bus came? Or look in your wallet, knowing the descrepancy in value between your bills? I don't know man, I've thought about how this can happen and I just can't figure it out

OP, call the bus company, talk to a manager, tell them what happened. Remember what route you were on at what time, so they can find the right bus. When it comes off the road tonight, they should be able to give you the money back.
