Is it a forum that is for or against suicide? If they're against it, maybe he thinks you'd be good at helping suicidal people not take their own lives. If they're the other kind, he's looking for an easy way to dump you.

I don't know the full story but he could possibly have meant he was a volunteer counsellor on a suicide site?

OP if your boyfriend is suicidal, I don't think that's something you should post on FML. That has nothing to do with you. It's his problem, but I think instead of worrying about how bad your life is, maybe give him some support? Please don't tell be that you would dump him for that. What do you think that will do? Help him? Suicide and depression are deeply misunderstood until it happens to people we love or us.
