No offense, but how stupid could your mom be for mistaking a tic tac for a birth control pill? First of all, they aren't even the same shape! And secondly, a tic tac tastes sweet when you first put it in your mouth! I don't care how fast she swallowed the "pill": there would be a very distinct difference between the two!

my birth control pills taste sweet, they are sugar coated... however they don't taste of mint or fruit like a tic tac would and they are a lot smaller

Maybe the mom was drunk or high when she took the pill (tic-tac). That might explain why she f'd up!
