Today, I filed my taxes. As a divorcée with children, I was supposed to get $3,500 back from the IRS. Alas, my ex's new wife already filed with my children, who don't live with her. I now owe the IRS $250. FML

you can report he to the IRS and they could charge her with tax evasion.

boohoo you owed $ 250, FML because i owed $1100, OP should be thankful he only owed that much

first off I believe op is a woman. second, when you are supporting children, espesially if your single, in these times, it can be very difficult. she's shelling out the finances to take care of them, and her thanx for that, is getting her return taken. it is a boohoohoo . I've lost and suffered thousands because of bullshit behavior by my ex.

OP shouldn't be thankful that she owes 250 because she shouldn't owe anything at all. What part of this did you not get? The obvious FRAUD or something else?

Also, the OP now owes the IRS an EXTRA $250, not $250 total. But it's ok that you missed that. Understanding that would require reading comprehension skills, which you clearly lack.

So what? I lock my kids in the car all the time. When they're bad, they get put in the trunk.
