Today, I bought a laptop so that I could have dirty video chats with my internet girlfriend. I got home only to find that the only place I can get a decent wifi signal is in front of my mom's room. FML

YDI for a. Having such a crappy router that you only get a signal at one spot in the house. If it's your neighbor's network, get your own router. b. Having an "Internet girlfriend." Get a life and a real girlfriend. c. Buying a whole new laptop instead of just a webcam

I don't see anything with meeting someone online and perusing a relationship. It's actually better because you learn to love them for their personality and not just the physical aspects. If you know they are who they say they are then I see nothing wrong with it. Since he said he was going to webcam with her, then he most likely knows what she looks like and might have even seen her in person before. This is why I refer to my relationship as a long distance relationship instead of an Internet one because I've seen him in person and we talk more than any other couple i know. We just happened to meet online initially. It's been a year and we're going strong.

I'm saying you deserve it because you bought it so you could be dirty with her. You should want to video chat with her to make sure she's who she says she is, and to just be able to see her... There's a lot of reasons you deserve it but there's the main one, in my opinion.

Um, since nobody's said this yet. Since OP is obviously old enough to afford a laptop he is old enough to do those things. And so what he has an Internet relationship, it's his choice. How is this YDI?
