I don't know, it sounds like you were throwing money at her. $400 is a lot of money for a relationship that has not even developed into the "I love you" stage. Besides, giving gifts is not about inputing more cash and recieving more love. The fact that you stated the cash amount proves her case. Sorry OP, but you kind of deserve it. And I mean this with the best of love.
