A quite similar event happened to me, we had been together for nearly a year which were the happiest moments of my life, she encouraged me to out myself to my family and friends, stating she was not ready to do that herself yet. Three weeks ago she dumped me stating that she had been lying to me all along and that we were only together so she could make her ex-boyfriend jealous, now having decided to take him back. It's hard to cope with, but I guess we just have to do our best.
