Mummy's little boy

By HadEnough - 24/03/2022 02:00

Today, I hate my toxic, bossy, narcissistic mother-in-law - who is currently visiting us. My husband spilt a little tea and almost had a panic attack over what to do if his mother found out. How did he turn out so normal despite having such a mum? FML

You should tell him that at his place he can spill as much tea as he wants!

you're adults, you don't HAVE to welcome her into your home. you can decide together how much or how little contact you have with her.

Because panicking over a little tea spill is normal?

Sounds like your husband was abused as a child by his **** of a mom, maybe talk to him about getting some trauma therapy.

I dated a guy who ducked every time a mistake was made because his mother hitting him as a child was so deeply ingrained. Your husband should really seek therapy and you should both discuss maybe cutting contact with his mother.
