Today, I found out that I fell in love with a diagnosed sociopath, which I didn’t know until I broke up with them though. The worst part is now that I know, I want to go back because I’m fascinated. FML

Frankly you’d have to be a fool to knowingly have a relationship with a person you know to be a sociopath. OP you are either self-destructive or very foolish… A sociopath uses people for as long as you are useful to them. They will lie and manipulate for an advantage or just because it amuses them. Either way it ultimately hurts the people around them.

Diagnosed and properly treated sociopaths can actually live relatively normal functioning lives. Also sociopaths are similar to a spectrum disorder with behaviors and their interpretation of emotions varying greatly; The stereotypical movie/social media sociopath that uses,abuses & manipulates just for their own gain is technically only a small percentage of sociopaths but the most widely known type because of movies & social media. How a sociopath behaves and interprets their own emotions and others really greatly depends on how they were raised & when they were diagnosed and received treatment.
