Today, my true crime addiction is so bad, when I read an FML about someone's dissociative personality disorder, I immediately thought they were lying and just preparing a good 'not guilty' defense because they planned to murder someone. FML

Today, I read a book by a former client who did time for fraud. She swears she's innocent, and blames everyone for her "ordeal": the police, court, judge, and me, her own attorney. She conveniently forgot to mention her two full confessions, one of which was given before the judge. FML

Today, I was diagnosed with a self-destructive personality among other things. I saw everything from my past instantly, like photographic memory recall. It was utterly terrifying, from extreme childhood drug-induced trauma that continues to this day. FML

Today, I found out that I fell in love with a diagnosed sociopath, which I didn’t know until I broke up with them though. The worst part is now that I know, I want to go back because I’m fascinated. FML

The twisted case of the suitcase

Today, I realized that my addiction to YouTube true crime had gone too far when I immediately though, "Dead body!" when I came across a seemingly abandoned suitcase outside my building. It's only when my neighbor came outside to pick it up that I stopped calling 911. FML

Today, I am defending a client on trial for perjury. She is a sweet girl and the first person I've loved in years, but she keeps doing everything she can to make herself look guilty in front of the jury. Now I'm having a daily crisis of conscience in the middle of the courtroom. FML

Today, both a coworker of mine and my boss agreed that I fit the profile of a serial killer. I don't know what's worse, the fact that they think that low of me, or the fact that this isn't the first time someone's said I remind them of a serial killer. FML

Today, after I'd spent $3,000 dollars in preparations to move in with my girlfriend of 2 and 1/2 years, she confessed she's a mental patient who stole someone else's identity. She was telling the truth. FML

Today, my wannabe psychologist of a brother accused me of lying about all the violence and emotional abuse my ex inflicted on me, all because I went into "too much detail" when describing it, which he says is something only liars do. Thanks for the support. FML

I’m just.. How are you about to come on this website looking for sympathy for that? “Today, some weird bitch’s true crime addiction is so bad, when they read my FML about my *Dissociative Identity Disorder, they immediately thought I was lying and just preparing a ‘not guilty’ defense because I planned to murder someone. They thought this simply because I was diagnosed with something completely out of my control. FML.” The first OP is the one that should be posting an FML about this, not you. I’ve never encountered someone that is so self obsessed.

You are such a dumbass. I made an account just to comment on this and I’ve been on the FML app for several years. I personally have been diagnosed with DID (I didn’t know I had it and was in denial for six months before I finally accepted that I had it) and that is so ******* offensive that you even considered posting this to be a good idea… Call me a snowflake and call me triggered, I don’t care. I’m well and truly bothered that a person heard DID and immediately thought “murder” wtaf….. I already am embarrassed of my diagnosis and now I REALLY don’t want to tell anyone…
