It’s not that hard to tell someone “sorry, I didn’t feel a romantic connection after all”. Or failing that, giving them a “maybe some other time” and then running for the hills.

Make sure a lot of people see you. When you are seen with a pretty girl, your social status goes way up! So, if you can't get around to liking her, you'll have that going for you.
