just let the kid bust a glass and cut his hand open. he won't wander in there again. in all seriousness though, i fcking HATE parents like that. i also hate kids, but 99% of the time the parents are worse.

Did you take enough time to look at the location? In the UK they say "Mum" as opposed to the American "Mom", neither is better than the other one; they're both right.
if you checked the location of the OP, you'd see its in the UK, where we say 'mum', not 'mom' i'm impressed with your clear observational skills. Anyway, why is it such a big deal?

why was the kid in the pub anyways? and it would have been better not to have grabbed her hand but just asked where her mom was because children are taught to make a scene if a stranger grabs them.
That's bad mother behavior for actually bringing her kid there...
