Today, I finally accepted my mom will never be a good person, and I'm looking forward to her dying. Apparently, she'd been telling everyone I was a difficult child. I was cooking dinner for her and her boyfriends way back in elementary school. FML

Just disengage from the situation if at all possible. No more contact with mom should be a relief. Liars are going to lie to make themselves look better, you should expect nothing and focus on your own life.

I think it's time to just let it go. if she's not a good person then walk away. You're a grown up. You don't have to deal with her.
