Today, after our teacher had said this class would be very important and that we should take notes, instead of writing notes, I brought a recorder to class. After class, I listened to the recording, and all I could hear was muffled voices. FML

That was smart but you should still have taken note just in case. Also you should have tested this out in an different class to make sure you would be able to hear/understand what is said.

That's why you put the voice recorder on the teacher's desk AND take notes. I myself process the information better when I take notes. Get notes from someone else.
