Today, my mother was re-enrolling me in school so she was required to fill out some paperwork. Later, she asked me, "What does caucasian mean?" I replied, "Why?" Apparently she didn't recognize the word, so she checked "Other" and wrote in "White". FML

That's hilarious... I'm guessing you're in America (I think that's where the term "Caucasian" is usually used), where the majority of people are white... did she not find anything odd about having to write it in?

I believe that Caucasian shouldn't be used as a substitute for white. Caucasian means "from the Caucasus area", which includes Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
