Contempt

Today, I cannot believe my husband. All he had to do was contest a bogus parking ticket but because he's incapable of keeping his fat mouth shut, now he’s going to jail for contempt of court. He will lose his job because of this, guaranteed, and we have two kids to support. FML

We need way more information here. For instance, why contest a parking charge? It's such a minor thing to spend time on, especially if you know your husband has a "fat mouth." Second, why was he the one in charge of disputing the ticket if, again, you know he has a "fat mouth?" He obviously has (or had) a job too, so to attend this hearing, he had to have taken time off. Why didn't you do it if you had doubts of him competently pulling this task off? Yeah, we need more.
