Childlike

By Noname - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, they were handing out free razors in the mall. I went up to get my free sample, but the woman just smiled and said, "Sorry honey, they're sharp, and not for children." I'm 25. FML

i TOTALLY get you. I'm 18 and I was at a Candy/Fudge store down in the tourist-area of the city I live in. They were giving free samples of fudge and the lady was like, "Are any of your parents around? I need to make sure you aren't allergic before I can give you one." I wanted to punch her out.

...it's really NOT that big a deal. Did it ruin your day that someone thought you were younger than you are?

I've always been really short for my age and young looking. It is quite annoying to always have people saying things at me when I can hear them (they think I can't) and to have people assume that I'm a visiting 4th grader instead of a sophmore at my high school...so yes, it is a big deal, obviously you have never been called short, little, young, kindergartener, etc. so please stop talking out of your ass because we can all tell

I'm 15 and get mistaken to be 18 or older. Not joking. Also, being 5'8 helps I guess.

I'm 13 and get mistaken for 16 or 17. not much of an accomplishment.

omg razors are sharp oh noooo *super sarcastic voice* seriously even if you were a kid i think it was rude of her to say that she could have just said 'sorry but we can give this out to someone as young as you' usually it's annoying when some mistakes your age, sometimes it can be fun to correct them but that depends on the situation. being treated like a kid can be frustrating if no one takes you seriously, like being older makes you oh so smarter *rollseyes* yeah right

i just noticed a typo of mine i put 'can' when it should be *can't*. what i'm saying is; she could have just said 'no we can't give razors out to children' basically she was an idiot for telling you they were sharp well duh, they wouldn't be handing out dull razors would they now

I totally relate. I was carded at a rated R movie last week. I'm 24.

at this museum i take my little cousins to you have to be 10 to go into the fake grocery store w/out an adult i was going in and the lady tild me i couldnt go w/out my parent im 15 and most adults think im 16/17 and my mom waz already inside. the lady had to go inside and get my mom... holding up the line... and then in the end said i shouldnt of let u in anyway because 10 year olds shouldnt b playing at childrens museums.
