Childlike

By Noname - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, they were handing out free razors in the mall. I went up to get my free sample, but the woman just smiled and said, "Sorry honey, they're sharp, and not for children." I'm 25. FML

i TOTALLY get you. I'm 18 and I was at a Candy/Fudge store down in the tourist-area of the city I live in. They were giving free samples of fudge and the lady was like, "Are any of your parents around? I need to make sure you aren't allergic before I can give you one." I wanted to punch her out.

@ #14 and 17 Post pictures and let the community of FML decide.

Im 24 but people usually think im something between 16 or 18. It sucks to be 5'5''

try not to take it too hard. that'll come in handy later in life when everyone else feels old and you're still getting carded at bars.

what company would be handing out free razors? seriously, free food, free lotion, free....razors?

haha! totally know where you're coming from! i'm almost 20 and people think im like 14..lol..when i actually decided to buy coffee one time..the person was like aren't you too young to drink this? coffee stunts your growth and you've got so much more growing to do! lol..i was like wth..they think my 17 year old sister is older than me..lol.

i completely understand. at work, im always told i look 12, when im almost 19. one lady literally laughed in my face when i told her my age. how is this a compliment??

I'm sorry. That really does suck. It may be a compliment to look younger when you're in your 30s and up, but when you're younger than that, it is an insult. BTW - I was wearing a C-cup already at 10.

Hahaha it depends with me... I might just have a young face... Last year I was sitting on a train and was talking to the guy next to me and he said I didn't think you looked like your age until you stood up, he thought I was fourteen or twelve or something, not a huge deal since I was sixteen at the time, but also when I was wrestling some kid at my mma studio I go to who was the same age but looked older than me said I looked liked "a grown ass man", a woman in the park when I was fifteen thought I was in college, this year some girls I were talking to on video chat said "there's no way you're seventeen!" thinking i was much younger hahaha, I think I just have a young looking face and an older looking body or something... I wouldn't worry too much about this one inccident though being mistaken for that great of an age difference does suck though :(

I hate looking young too. But at least when we're older we'll look younger than everyone else. :]

she probably did that because of liability issues. my girlfriend's 40 but she looks really young, and people still ask for her ID when we order drinks. but the razor woman could have shown a little more tact.
