Uninvited
Today, my girl came home and said, "I'm gonna jump in the shower, I'm horny as fuck." Naturally, I assumed that was an invitation, so I lit some candles quickly and hopped on the bed, waiting for her. She got out, looked at me funny and said, "The fuck are you doing? I want to masturbate. Get out." FML

Every guy would have done the same in that situation! You were miscommunicated to!

Before people go off the rails, part of ************ is not just exploration, but also of stress relief. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess she was probably so horny that she new one and done by her partner was not going to cut it. However, maybe if she planned on doing that, she shouldn’t have made the comment. My wife and I use different terms for sex, and “alone time”, if there is a preference. It helps tell the other when we don’t want to be disturbed and why. This means that not only is intentions of sex clear, but reduces the likelihood of what OP described happening and creating issues. I have chronic pain, and work a high intensity job every day, sometimes i use relief as a pain manager and the ****** helps relieve muscle tension that causes migraines, when sex would be too painful up to the point where it makes it impossible to ******. So if i use a particular term, it indicates i’m in too much pain for sex, so i’m going to solo-it for pain management. My wife has solo’d because, like OP, is super horny, and knows i may not have the stamina to get her there. But as I said, there is a different term used for things. OP, if it becomes an issue, ask to setup different terms to use for different expectations. Like a safe-word is used in certain kinks, different terms are to the point to remove the ambiguity of the expectation from the other living partner. This would avoid this going further and remove arguments and hurt feelings

That’s what happens when you assume something. You end up making an ass out of yourself.

I think it’s time to re-evaluate options. If she thinks she can do it herself then what are you there for? Find someone who appreciates you and the tools you bring to the relationship.
