Today, my boyfriend went to the aquarium. We were noticing the fishy smell, and I had made a comment about it. Then my boyfriend slowly, and seductively whispers into my ear, "It sort of reminds me of how you smell." FML

While I agree that it was intended as a compliment, I think the FML is not so much that he said she smells like his grandmother's house, but that apparently she got robbed of a good ****** by his inability to discern the appropriate thing to say at that moment / the appropriate time to share a compliment like that.
