Today, while opening up to a few friends about how I was sexually abused as a child, one of them blurted "Pics or it didn't happen." How did the others react? With outrage? No, just with awkward chuckling. FML

**** those guys

**** the person who said "Pics or it didn't happen." Some people do nervously laugh in awkward situations or when they don't know what else to say. I'm really sorry that happened to you, and I'm hoping you're getting help.

That'd be kind of an awkward situation, honestly. Save those details for a best friend - ya know? Sorry it happened.

OP, you have some awful friends. I can't believe they'd act that way in a time of crisis and not believe you. Hold your head up. Good things are to come.

Time for some new friends.

Thats sick that scumbag should have been shot down and they should have been given support, I know just how you feel when I told my family about my abuse they all turned against me and stopped talking to me except my grandparents and my mother, my mother because she knew this man was a pedophile but still let him baby sit me because she was a young mum who still wanted to party and drink every night and he was happy to baby sit the pretty slender girl I was back then, I have gone to great pains to sabotage my looks now and found safety in obesity, tattoos and piercings.

That's so ******* stupid... You should want to be healthy and not an unprofessional looking fat ass

I am so sorry that i bumped ydi by accident. Honestly that sucks and nobody deserves that crap, sounds like you need some new friends and family if that is who abused you

Unfortunately, some people lack the maturity to handle an uncomfortable situation. Instead of being consoling they make a crude, insensitive joke. I would've told them how uncool it was either immediately, or later on taken them aside. I'm sorry you were made to feel a number of unpleasant emotions because of your friend's jackass comment.

It was a pretty funny comment tho and it's a joke, not serious... People need to stop being ******* and realize the world ain't all fun and games. This generation has a serious problem with being overly sensitive. Get up, rub some dirt on it, and move on instead of being an annoying pussy

can you wven call those assholes friends?
