Today, the guy I was seeing texted me a photo back of myself I had sent him earlier, saying I'm such a beautiful woman, suggesting that I set it as my profile pic. Too bad he doesn't think I'm pretty enough without a lot of enhancements, because he photoshopped the hell out of that thing. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Classic fraud
Today, I went on a date with a guy I had been talking to online for weeks. When I showed up, he looked nothing like his profile picture, and he spent the entire time talking about his ex-girlfriend. FML
Zinger
Today, a guy who I hate commented on my Facebook profile picture that I "look like I've fallen off the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down." Sixty people liked this, including my boyfriend and my best friend. FML
Camouflage
Today, while I was removing my makeup with my boyfriend watching, he mentioned that he used to think girls were prettier without makeup on, but he'd now changed his mind. FML
Flattery?
Today, I was told that I looked like a Kardashian by a total stranger. Flattered, I asked which one. His response? "I don't know, the ugly one." FML
What the…?
Today, a guy asked for my number at a party. As I was entering my number into his phone, my name and a picture of me popped up. I'm afraid I just met my stalker. FML
Lower your expectations
Today, my husband and I were talking about celebrities he finds attractive. All of these beautiful, talented, glamorous women were starting to make me feel very plain, so he attempted to console me by saying, "But I love you. You're attainable!" FML
You've got mail
Today, I got a text from my ex-boyfriend that said, "I love you." Thinking this meant he'd changed his mind about breaking up with me less than 24 hours before, I replied back excitedly. Turns out that was a text sent last weekend that didn't go through until now. What great timing. FML
Crossed wires
Today, the girl I have a crush on texted me to go out tonight. When I got to her house, she peered at me quizzically and asked, "What do you want? Did I text you?" FML
Sketchy
Today, while sitting next to me, my boyfriend sent a text to one of his "friends" saying, "I'm thinking of you." FML
Mummy's bravest little boy
Today, my boyfriend dumped me by getting his mum to message me on Facebook. I got the message while I was packing for an overseas trip to visit him. FML

Id use the original photo and set that as my picture and see what he says.

Was he hoping you wouldn't notice the changes?

Not his fault. If I had a girlfriend and she texted me a pic of herself that looked extra good I would say she looked extra good in that pic. So yeah I don't blame him for that at all
Iris_River 15
You don't blame him for Photoshopping the picture she sent him? Really?
cocainewhore 30
That wasn't the problem. The problem was that the guy only said she was beautiful after editing the image a lot. He didn't say the original photo was beautiful.

Except it didn't look "extra good" until he photoshopped the hell out of it first.

I apologize. I read this FML wrong. I thought it said she photoshopped it not him. I take back my comment this guys an asshole

I have to ask the same thing. I would also find it odd to be sent a picture of myself.

Hopefully he meant it in a cute/funny way? No, not even I believe that.

Honestly, ignore it. Tell him you don't like to photoshop yourself and if he truly cares for you he will agree and wont photoshop any more of your photos.

Confront him and ask him why the hell he thought it would be socially acceptable to photoshop a picture of someone and send it to them without being asked to. That dude needs to be called out on his shit because I BET he's the kind of self-involved douche who actually thought he was doing you a 'favour'.

Photoshop is basically digital makeup. Considering I don't know anything about makeup, take that as you will.
Kitouran 30
More like digital plastic surgery. Makeup doesn't let you change your height, weight, etc.

Hmm, I think with most people the better you are at photoshop the less obvious it is you have used it, whereas makeup is part of a 'look' and has a bit of individuality to it.
Aerobic_Exorcism 13
I figured makeup being used to cover flaws, or "make you prettier" would be equal to digital editing being used to adjust or remove flaws. I don't believe in makeup myself; I think a lot of girls look better without it.

Are you sure the girls you consider good looking aren't just wearing subtle make-up? It can be hard to realise if you don't know much about it. Whether you believe in it or not isn't important, girls (and boys) are still going to keep wearing it and feeling good about themselves regardless!

His intentions were probably good. Guys don't think into it to much very often, he was probably just trying to help out by making you look a little better.
9a_1z 12
I reckon he knew his friends were going to look up his new girlfriend online and didn't feel she looked impressive enough with her existing non-photoshopped picture. I don't think it's about her at all, it's about him and his insecurities.
thenetflox 4
Then she shouldn't be talking to him. If he's so insecure of what his friends will say about her then he doesn't ******* deserve her.
Jer706 5
No that's not even accurate. Anyone who photoshops another person picture and says that they would look better as that does not have "good intentions". They're what we call assholes.
9a_1z 12
You should ask for a dick pic then send it back heavily photoshopped and tell him how good it looks. Then if you're petty enough print it off and keep looking at it next time you have sex.
Algorithm 24
You'd seriously have sex with this guy again? I sure wouldn't.
