Today, the day before I was going to move in with my army fiancé, he was told he would be deployed very soon. I can't pay for the apartment without him, and now have to move back in with my parents until he returns from active duty. FML

Today, I found out that my fiancé is going to be deployed on our wedding day. FML
Today, I packed up to get ready to move to my boyfriend’s. I just graduated high school and I don’t get along with his mom, but I have no other choice of living. I was supposed to move in with his family tomorrow but now his mom won’t let me. It was last minute, and I’m basically homeless. FML
Today, I caught a flight to see my boyfriend, who is stationed in the army 300 miles away. When I was just 15 minutes from the base he called to say that we should break up. Now I'm heading back to California, single and broke. FML
Today, my boyfriend came home from a two week vacation and told me I needed to move out. FML
Today, I'm seven months into a twelve month deployment. I called my fiancée, and she dumped me. The worst part is that two days ago, I re-enlisted to go to a unit an hour away from her house. FML
Today, I just got a new assignment for the moving company I work for. Two weeks ago my fiancé dumped me and I moved out of the house. Almost all of the furniture was mine and it took forever. The new moving assignment I have is moving her new boyfriend into my old house. FML
Today, my fiancé's mother made him pack his stuff and move to Montana while I was at work. I came home to a half-written note because she wouldn’t let him finish. We own a house together. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he’d have a surprise for me when I got home. The surprise was he’d moved out, dumped me, and cut me off from his share of the bills, because he’s not interested in marriage and babies. I can’t afford the rent by myself so I’m going to have to move back to my mother's. FML
Today, my newly ex-fiancé, the father of my 5-year-old child, moved out of state with no warning. I just spent my last $500 paying off his car, and the rent is due tomorrow. FML
Today, I learned that my husband is getting deployed for we don’t know how long, and I’ll be left all alone, in a different country far away from home. FML

when you're an "army wife," minor/major setbacks is what you will have to deal with. It wont be easy.

The apartment complex should have seen if you each qualified for that apartment, and if you were not making enough to afford it, you should have been denied, so that you wouldn't be in this situation. Beyond your situation, couples break up all the time and usually one person is stiffed with the bill. Why couldn't he commit to paying the rent-it's not like he won't have a paycheck? I think under the provisions of your lease you guys can break the lease, without penalty-just make sure leave it as clean as the day you were given the keys. I'm glad you have your parents to fall back on.

Once you are actually a wife you'll see the difference. We are not civilians, we are part of the army because we are a team with our husbands. When they are deployed, we are deployed, actually it could be considered that we are as stressed as them. We gave to hold up everything at home, by ourselves, while trying not to think about what our husbands are going through over there. Also, we get treated differently by civilians, so it's not just us that think that!

Well maybe if you got your own job instead of living off his paycheck you wouldn't be in this situation. You need to have your own job instead of being one of those wives who depends on their husband's job.
