Today, my son gave me some flowers for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, the only time I can enjoy them is when I go into the bathroom where they are kept so the cat doesn't eat them. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I sent a $120 bouquet of flowers for mother's day. When I called tonight see if my Mom got them, she replied that they were still on the doorstep because she "didn't want the dogs to get excited and start barking" when she opened the front door to bring them in. FML
Today, I went to my boyfriend's house to give his mother a box of chocolates and flowers for Mother's Day. She just stared at them and said, "What's this for? You're not my daughter, and never will be. But I'll keep the chocolate." FML
Today, after spending $120 to have a bouquet of flowers delivered to my mom, she called to complain that I had forgotten about her for Mother's day, but also praise my sister for apparently receiving my flowers I sent at the door and passing them off as hers. FML
Today, my Mom came to pay me a short visit at college. She handed me some flowers, which were a Valentine's Day gift, because she "figured I wouldn't be getting any from anyone else this year." FML
Today, I caught my mom eating cat biscuits. We don't have a cat. FML
Today, I got flowers sent to my work, I happily opened them in front of my co-workers thinking they were from my crush, I open the card to see "Love you, from mom". My mother thinks my love life is so pathetic, thats she needs to send me flowers to cheer me up. FML
Today, I leaned back and bumped into one of my mom's plants in the window. The good thing was that I caught it before it fell and shattered. The bad thing was that my mom likes to keep cactii in the window. I can still feel thorns I haven't managed to pluck out yet. FML
Today, I made my mom cookies for Mother's Day. My brother took all the cookies to work as a snack, because I didn't specifically tell him that the homemade "MOM" hearts weren't meant for him. FML
Today, I was in a terrific mood after finding a bouquet of beautiful flowers on my doorstep when I came home. That is, until I recognised the handwriting of my "secret admirer" was the same as my mother's. FML
Today, after I took my mom her favourite wine, a card, and an expensive orchid for her conservatory, and also spent all Saturday afternoon with her and took her out for lunch, what did she post on Facebook? Her disappointment that I didn’t spend Mother’s Day with her on Sunday because I was working. FML

Are you sure the cat is eating them versus smelling them? I've had cats that loved to smell flowers and bouquets. If it's eating them, get it some pet grass and your flowers will be less tasty than the grass.

I know your pain OP! My kitty children eat all my plants. My son gave me beautiful roses that are on top of the fridge! Happy mother's day!

I know the feeling. On Valentine's day, I came home and my roses had been attacked by my cat. She thought they were her play toy.

That's why there was a dragon statue instead of flowers here. My cat does this too. But we watch him and spray him with water if he starts trying to eat flowers.

Cats eat plants to help with digestion and get vitamins low in their diet. I would suggest anyone with a cat who is going after their plants should get some kitty grass from a pet store. Its not a fool proof solution (some cats are just odd and eat odd things, lol), but its healthy for them and helped get our cats to leave flowers and inside plants alone for the most part. good luck!

I feel your pain OP. My husband bought me beautiful flowers and my cat tries to eat them so I have to keep them on top of the tv stand
