Today, my parents took my laptop, cut the Internet, took my car keys and TV, and removed my bedroom door. Why? Because they thought the plant I was growing for my science project was a marijuana plant. Oh yeah, they took that too. My presentation is tomorrow. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my mom found my weed stash and went berserk, grounding me and saying she's going to have my bedroom door removed. Less than an hour later, I found her laughing and smoking the same stash with my dad in the backyard. FML
Screens
Today, I got home from a hard day and sent a project due tomorrow from my laptop. While I was in the bathroom, my parents took my laptop, which is all paid by me for no reason. I tried telling them multiple times that I have 3 projects due this week, but they said that's not a reason to stay on my laptop. FML
Today, my parents took away my laptop, TV, Xbox, and car all because I broke up with my girlfriend. They said when I patch things up with her, I can have my stuff back. FML
Today, my parents yelled at me for 10 minutes without letting me get a word in edgeways for getting a 48 on my test. They took my phone, unplugged my internet, and took my car keys. They wouldn't listen no matter how many times I told them, "It was out of 50". It actually was. FML
Well played
Today, my thieving, layabout stepmom planted weed in my bedroom and showed my dad. Well, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions here, but her smirk and telling me later that I shouldn't fuck with her again seems conclusive to me. Goodbye freedom. FML
Today, my parents gave me an iPhone. They then checked my grades online, and promptly took it away. FML
Today, I found out that the only reason my parents have been letting me hang out with my friends so late is so they can search my room for drugs. FML
The Devil's lettuce
Today, my friend went to go pick up some weed from her dealer. That same day her parents were searching her room, so guess who posted it through my letterbox so their parents wouldn’t find it. Unfortunately, my very religious parents found it and now think I'm being directed by Satan. FML
Today, my little sister got mad at me because I wouldn't let her read my IM conversation. I took a nap and when I woke up, my laptop was gone. She took it on a trip to her grandparents' house, six hours away. Nude pictures of me and my paper due tomorrow are on the laptop. FML
Today, my parents grounded me for finding their stash of weed. The irony is killing me right now. FML

You should change you experiment to show how parents can go from zero to full retardation in about an hour. Will Smith had it right. Parents just don't understand.

If this WAS a marijuana plant, then this'd still be an FYL. As it is, this is a complete ******* travesty. Let your school know asap, and begin looking at moving out. I wouldn't be able to live with that level of parental distrust.

They still have each other though.

I never understood why parents wouldn't at least try siting down talking with their kid before resulting to such drastic measures.

Go to school one last time, to explain that your parents confiscated your project. Then come home and tell your parents about the explanation. Tell them to call the school and work it out. In the meantime, sit on your bed and do nothing - zero, zip, nada. No school. After all, they essentially confiscated your entire life over their own stupid misinterpretation; who knows when something will make them think you're a car thief, murderer, or whatever? So do nothing. Sit there a while, and they'll either figure it out; or (eventually) you'll be 18 and can leave.

dude. that sucks. I would whip up something real quick to replace the plant project then explain to you teacher why you don't have it and then get him/her to sign a note explaining the issue.

>_< My father did that to me once. I was using May apple plants to test the effects of different colored light on plant growth. Fortunately, my mother is into gardening, and explained the difference to him a few days before my project was due. The results were all ****** up because he took the plants away from the light sources I was using, but at least I still had evidence to show and get an extension on the project deadline. But it looks quite differently, I mean Cannabis (that's the correct plant name..., Mary Jane is the "smoke" name) has jagged leaves that are only joined at the stem. I must agree about your dad -_-.
