Today, I was outside searching for "treasures" with my son using small plastic shovels. All of a sudden he starts screaming. He dug up the bones of our old dog. I told him that we had sent him away to live on a farm, I even helped my son write letters to the farm owners. FML

Today, I came home to find that my dog had destroyed my couch. The worst part? He buried his plastic toy bone inside the wreckage, so he clearly thinks this is his new personal sandbox play pit spot. I'm afraid to get a new couch and put it in the same place. FML

Today, I sent my kids to play in the back garden and immediately heard them screaming. We buried our dog last week and last night some animal dug her up and spread the bones and rotting flesh around. The stench was horrendous, the kids are traumatized, and I vomited while reburying the bits. FML

Poor good boy
Today, my dog died. I spent ages digging him a grave and buried him in the garden so that my dad wouldn't have to deal with the stress when he got home from work. When my dad got home he told me that he had wanted the dog to be cremated. I have just had to dig up my dog's body. FML

I once saw a dog eat a horse turd just after the horse went to the bathroom. This is only slightly more disturbing.

I took my kids to the zoo once.* The only thing that really captured their interest was the chimps eating their own faeces. *The zoo said they didn't want them. Boom Boom.

My dogs have done this before. My previous dog was a lab and my former dog is a dachshund. A tiny dog running around with a bone bigger than him.

A dog tried to dig up one of our dead cats once. Our back yard was practically a graveyard of pets... Anyway, as for you, OP, as painful as it is to have to deal with the bones of a beloved pet, hope you're dealing with it well.
