Today, my mother-in-law moved into my wife's two-bedroom apartment. She's quite possibly the reincarnation of Hitler himself, and she'll be staying until this time next year. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Great news
Today, my mother-in-law announced that she's going to be moving into the apartment next to us. Oh joy. FML
Today, I came home from a week-long vacation, only to find my mother-in-law didn't just dog-sit while I was gone; she moved in, along with all her possessions, and seems to think it's a permanent deal. FML
Today, my wife allowed my mother-in-law to move in with us. She believes the government spies on her in the shower, and that the Prime Minister is a shape-shifting lizard who wants to microchip us all. I have to live with this psychotic wench until someone is desperate enough to employ her. FML
Tactfully, no
Today, my mother-in-law asked if she could move in with us. FML
Free carer
Today, my mother-in-law moved in with my husband and I, where she shits the bed and herself. There's a waiting list for the nursing home, so in the meantime I’m cleaning up her shit and she isn’t even my mother. FML
Today, my mother-in-maw informed us that she sold her house and is moving in with us so we'll "take care" of her in old age. She's in perfect health. We've only been married for 4 months. My wife can't stand her for more than 2 weeks at a time, let alone living with us. FML
Today, my flatmate moved in with me. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, so did her mother. FML
All you need is hate
Today, my mother-in-law yelled from across the house for me to come quickly. She sounded frantic, so I rushed and asked what was wrong. She said, "Nothing." and that she just wanted to remind me that she hates my guts. She'll be living here with me and my wife for the next two months. FML
Today, I found out that my unemployed and very needy mother-in-law will be moving in with us soon. And during my conversation on the phone with her, she expects us to buy a house and my wife and I can "live with her." My wife agrees with all of this. FML
Today, my in-laws moved in. FML

Well, if you rearrange the letters in "Mother In-Law" it spells Woman Hitler...

Is anyone curious as to why OP wrote his wife's apartment? Does he not live with his wife? SEMANTICS PEOPLE! They are important!

I say either tough it out or put her in a nursing home. Maybe if you're nice she'll warm up to you?

Why do people always complain about mother in laws? What the hell makes them so horrible?
ifailplzinsultme 0
Well if he/she described her as a reincarnation of hitler, I'm guessing she isn't pleasent

depends on the mother in law. many seem to be rather unpleasant or just difficult to deal with. my mother in law is just annoying. Hell even my husband rolls his eyes and says oh god its her after call 12 of the day.

Dude, you're 18. When you have a mother in law, you'll find out.

Your response made me smile 38! I needed that more than i can say in such a public forum :)
EMTchic 14
38- it should be "I did nazi that" get it "nazi"="not see" if you say it just right . It doesn't make sense to say "I did nazi see that" cuz then it sounds like you are saying "see" twice, understand now ???
capslockisgood 19
Well I certainly did Nazi that coming and Anne Frankly this conversation is out of Mein Kampfort zone.

I doubt she has the charisma of hitler.
TheDrifter 24
Perhaps she does, she convinced her daughter to let her move in rather than put her in a retirement home.

Good luck with your marriage. But, she's not Hitler in the least. He rallied an entire country to his side, your in-law can barely muster a housing agreement. You give her too much credit.

lol nice
DocBastard 40
Turn the tables on her. Tell her it's YOUR house and if she wants to live there, she will live by YOUR rules. Otherwise, she can get the **** out. Stand up for yourself!
MaddiRae 9
Actually, it says its his wife's appartment, so technically its his wife's rules she need to follow.. Not his.
capslockisgood 19
Love how 55 gets no thumbs just because they pooped on DocBastard's comment.

Seamantics as in "sea mantis" ?

I was wondering the same thing. Could be that the wife owns rental property near their house that is a two bedroom apartment. That would be the best so they won't be under the same roof.
J352SAURUS 30
Probably because once the mother in law moved in, that shit belonged completely to the wife and he didn't want anything to do with it!
