Today, my mother "borrowed" money from my stash to help pay for her vacation to the Dominican Republic. The same trip I'm not allowed to go on. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Addict
Today, my mother asked me if she could borrow $200. Being the lovely daughter I am, I gave her my bank card to withdraw it herself. She gambled it away and maxed my bank account out. I had $1500 saved. FML
Thieves like us
Today, my mom stole my holiday money because she found it “near her bag” in my kitchen and “assumed it was hers” and she must have “forgotten it was in there all this time.” I demanded it back, but she’d already spent it on hair, nails, shoes, and a date night with dad. She won’t pay me back either. FML
Today, I slipped money into my mother's purse after she refused to let me pay for lunch. She caught me in the act and thought I was stealing money from her instead. FML
Technically, that's stealing
Today, I told my mom about the $50 I'd hidden in case of an emergency, and how I couldn't find it. She said she'd borrowed it last week. FML
Enjoy yourself
Today, my mom asked if she could use my red dress for her two-week trip to the Caribbean. I said no, because I was going to a party and I wanted to wear it. She called me a selfish, greedy bitch who would stay single forever. I paid for her plane ticket, her hotel fees, and her cruise ship fee. FML
Piggy banked
Today, I discovered my own mother has been stealing money from me for months when I opened my savings box to find it empty. FML
Smooth criminal
Today, my sister stole my credit card, used it to rack up a small debt, then told my mom she will pay me back in the future one day, “happily”. But not right now because she has better things to spend her money on. FML
Today, my mother told me that I could take a friend on vacation with us. Then she added that because I have no friends, my brother can bring his girlfriend instead. FML
Today, while on vacation with my family, my mother told me to put my phone in her purse, so it wouldn't get stolen. Someone stole her purse. FML
Thanks Grandma
Today, my husband and I had to cancel our family Disney World trip because my mom stole and gambled away all of our spending money. Our kids are still crying and throwing tantrums and don't understand why we can't afford to go anymore. FML

This FML reminds me of the time my mom borrowed money from me to supposedly put gas in the car, and came back with the tattoo I wanted -_____-

Time to get a bank account; having your funds in a "stash" is just asking to get nicked.
Sebastian_NG 17
Damn OP you go and kick her in the balls right now, that just sucks and Dominican Republic is the best place I've ever gone in my life, although that time it was without my family, for obvious reasons
FunnyGuy5051 7

I know, she is a bitch, but you can't do much to your paremts
FYLDeep 26
Well obviously she's been looking at your stash, so she would know if you're broke or not. That still doesn't explain her business stealing your money though. Maybe you should keep your money in the bank in an individual account?
rhysfucker 24
I know...it's like Boyz n tha Hood...money in the mattress and shit...Really? You should at least get some good DR weed out of this...
ohmandapants 17
Some how, I doubt OP has much privacy...probably controlling parents, might not be able to get an account without "permission"
soccerguy2 11
21- I dont think controlling parents are going to steal money from their kid to go to the Dominican Republic WITHOUT him. He would be able to do anything in their absence.
shrdlu 28
But how could the OP _afford_ to do anything?
cameron194 9
A trip to the local pawn shop with a car full of her shit.. Yea u could probably get a few dollars while she's gone lol
ninjuh_wingman 29
Dont you just love it when parents "borrow" money from their children?
MyMilkShake2Yard 0
My mom owns me 3000 that I was saving for my car which I been saving for 3 years. Being a full time student mind you that i only earn 170 per week...
TheDog6 24
I hate it. My mother "borrowed" $40 because she did not have enough money on her yet she goes to get her hair done twice month.
southernbelle_rn 16
Yup. I let mine borrow $100 then she decides she wants to find the most random things that I supposedly owe her that I know I paid for months ago. That money was going to be for my textbooks! Damn parents...
txgirl2013 14
That's terrible. Make her pay you back every cent.
soccerguy2 11
With interest (she wont ever steal, oops "borrow", money from you again).
evilplatypus 39
I figured out interest and usury when I was ten. That kept bitches from borrowing from me!
bitchslapped22 14
Don't expect to get the money back

When parents "borrow," don't expect to get it back anytime soon, or even at all.... :/ fyl OP
ohsheet 8
Well "borrow" some of her money, then go to a different island
ziruxx 4
I think that was the issue in the first place, the mum didn't have any money...
ohsheet 8
hahhah well....when ever she gets money...THEN take it
