Today, my mom went to court to finalize her divorce. I would have felt sorry for her, had this not been her 7th husband. FML
Today, my mom told me that she never wants to see me again because my family and I did not attend her wedding, which she wanted my youngest to be a flower girl to. I refused because this is her eighth marriage (that's right, 8) and she never learns. FML
Today, my father publicly announced his engagement to his new girlfriend. My mom passed away not even eight months ago. FML
Today, I found out my ex is getting married. She only left me 8 months ago. FML
Today, my husband of four years finally told me he has an eight-year-old son. FML
Today, my mother excitedly jumped up and down, announcing that one of her sweet younger coworkers got engaged. I wished she'd had the same reaction to my engagement when I announced it to her a few days earlier. FML
Today, my mother got remarried. I am now officially older than my step-father. FML
Today, I discovered that my father is getting married. Overjoyed and confused because I didn't know he was dating, I called him up to congratulate him, and ask who she was. Apparently, his soon to be fiancée is my mother-in-law. My wife is not happy. FML
Today, I overheard my mother telling my sister that she expects my marriage to fall apart any day now. Apparently, I have no concept of what "marriage" really means. My husband and I just celebrated our 7th anniversary, while my mother is planning her 5th wedding. FML
Today, I got married. My mother told me to stop being difficult, because she was the mother of the bride, and it was her day to shine. FML

why is it shameful to marry eight times? as long as you're not religious in a very strict way, marriage can end in divorce and if you want to marry again, why not? it's sad that she didn't find somebody to stay with but I don't see anything shameful.
