Today, my mom called 5 times and I didn't pick up due to being in class at college. I was later called to the front desk, where my mom was crying. She said she was worried about me because I didn't say "I love you" to her after she dropped me off at college. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I told my mom, "I love you". She responded with, "What? I never told you I loved you." FML
Today, my girlfriend broke up with me because she heard me say "love you" on the phone. I was talking to my mom. FML
Today, my parents left for work before I had to leave for school and I decided to skip. I stayed by the phone, expecting the school to call so I could pose as my parent and excuse my absence. The phone rings and I pick up. It's my Mom, calling to leave my dad a message on the machine. FML
Today, I received a message from front desk that my concerned father is trying to contact me. I call only to hear that my parents were freaking out that I wasn't answering my phone. They saw me 9 hours ago. They were going to call the police. I'm in college and also don't live with them anymore. FML
Today, my mom was on the phone while we went grocery shopping. Apparently, her phone call was more important because she just left me stranded in the store. FML
Today, I called my mom for the first time in a few weeks, just to chat because I miss her. When she picked up, the first thing she said was, "Why are you calling? What's wrong? Do you have swine flu??" When I told her that I didn't, and I just wanted to chat, she hung up. FML
Today, I noticed that my mom had left the house without her cell phone. I called her phone to let her know she forgot it. FML
Today, I dropped out of college and moved back home to help my mom take care of my younger siblings after our father's death. My mom yelled at me and scolded me and lectured me for throwing my life away, and said this was the last thing she ever wanted me to do. I thought she needed help. FML
Today, my mom hasn't talked to me for 5 days, so, worried sick, I called my grandpa. She's been in jail, and no one cared to inform me. Great. FML
Today, I listened to a voicemail from my mom about how she misses me and can't wait to see me when I get back from vacation. Thinking she hung up, my mother then had a conversation with my aunt about how quiet the house is without me and how she'd be blessed if I didn't come home. FML

Oh wow. You would think she would know you can't answer your phone during class. That and she seems rather clingy. Perhaps maybe start finding your own way to college if she's going to continue to do this.

Well it's good that your mom loves you and worries about you. But it's definitely important to pay attention in class, so it's understandable why you didn't answer the phone. I hope she understands that you were just preoccupied. Hopefully everything gets a bit better!

I'm sure it won't be cute if you get multiple calls that you can't react to in class, then get sent to the office and having everyone around you see your mother cry for such a rather silly reason. She embarrassed him, it could have waited until he went home.

Probably just empty nest syndrome. Moms get real funny when the kids are out on their own, being adults. Although I do agree that it might be best to look into alternative transportation.
