Today, my mobile phone wouldn't turn on. I took it in to the phone store, but they won't fix or replace it because the account is in my dad's name, not mine. He's abroad for the next month, and the only way to get a hold of him is on a number I only stored on my phone. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my cell phone broke. It wouldn't even turn on. I went online to access my account so that I could order a new phone. I couldn't remember my password. The phone company had an option of "forgot my password". Upon clicking I get a message saying "Your password will be sent to your phone". FML
Memory man
Today, my dad let me use his phone. Five minutes later, he had my mom call it because he thought he'd lost it. FML
Today, my dad took my phone away. This would be fine if I was 14. I'm 22 and pay for all of my own bills. FML
Blame game
Today, my dad tried to blame me for ringing an out of network number for two hours, which charged his bill by the minute. I rang the number, which turned out to belong to one of his business pals who lives abroad. He punished me anyway for having an attitude when I proved the call was his fault. FML
Today, my phone stopped charging. I panicked because I can't really afford to get it fixed, and it's too stressful a time at my last semester at university to not have a phone. I took it to the repair shop, and the man turned it off and on again. it works perfectly. I'm a total idiot. FML
Reported
Today, I found a cellphone. I went through the contacts and called the one listed as "Dad" to inform them I could leave it at a cash register of the store I found it in, or take it to the police station so they could pick it up. They then called the police, insisting I stole it. FML
Bigmouth Strikes Again
Today, I was involved in an intense argument with my dad. Just as I yelled, "You haven't done one thing for me", my phone rang. The same phone that, as of today, my dad no longer pays the bill for. FML
Oh, the humanity
Today, I think there might be something wrong with my family's cell phone carrier or cell phones. They use Verizon, I use T-Mobile. They use iPhones, I use a Google Pixel 8a. On at least two separate occasions, my dad hasn't been able to get my text messages. I can't afford to switch carriers or get a new phone. FML
Offroading
Today, my dad took my phone away because I "had to be texting while driving in order to wreck my car." I was too ashamed to tell him that a huge bug flew into my face causing me to veer off the road and into a brick mailbox. FML
Today, my dad and I had a yelling match about me "lying", because I was unable to contact iTunes support without a phone number. To prove a point, he went online to find the phone number. It's been an hour and he's still searching for the number. I can't leave the table until he has found it. FML

Doesn't your mom have his number? Unless...you don't have a mom. I made myself sad. :(

I got my first dictionary when I was 8. Age is not a valid excuse for laziness.

Uh, I'm not going to read the dictionary. And I realized that I can search on my phone what the definition means.. I just thought it meant go out of state but now I know it means to go over seas...

I'm sorry, but those type of numbers you have to keep aside written down.

Maybe you could buy a cheep phone for a month, one of the pre-paid phones that have unlimited text, until he gets back :)

I guess you'll have to survive a month without a mobile phone... poor little thing, you will have to "make-do" with regular phones, computers, laptops, and maybe tablets -_- Or you can just go buy your own phone with your own account...

Apparently the FML went right over your head. OP is saying how he/she doesn't remember the number, and can't call him in case of emergency because the phone is possibly broken. Idiot.
sundayporch 2
If you're going to call someone an idiot for not understanding the FML, you should probably make sure you understand it yourself. The OP needs to contact their dad in order to get her phone fixed. The OP cannot do that, because his number is stored in their broken phone. Idiot.

Buy a cheap unlocked phone and put the SIM card from your phone in it.
