Today, my wife and I have been fighting and she's accusing me of being too controlling because I absolutely forbid her from putting pictures of our kids on social media. FML

Today, I found a picture my husband had saved on the computer. It was of me, and he had named it "Fatter". FML
Today, my husband and I got into a fight about his pervert friend who regularly shows blatant disrespect for our marriage, including sending me inappropriate texts. Apparently this friend should have my full trust, and apparently I am the one with the issue for not excusing his bad behavior. FML
Today, I found a picture of my military husband kissing another woman. His excuse? It was "Photoshopped." FML
Today, my boyfriend took a selfie of us. When he turned his phone around, I saw his photos and there was a picture of him with his ex girlfriend earlier that day, despite him saying he had been at work all day. FML
Today, I got yelled at all day at work, only to come home and get yelled at by my husband. FML
Today, my husband had a temper tantrum because I wouldn't get him a chocolate bar at the store register. FML

Picking a fight is childish and terrible, if he is upset, although pictures are a trivial thing to be angry over, just talk to you. Believe it or not though, a parent being jealous of their own child isn't that uncommon, it comes from insecurity. From what I understand, if a father is jealous of his kid, it can mean a number of things. One is that he feels the relationship between the 2 of you is being neglected, which is sometimes true. Parents can give all their attention to the child, so much so that it hurts their own relationship. It's important to bond and take care of each other, as well as your child. Also, it might mean that he needs to better develop a relationship with his kid, and spend time with them. He needs to have his own independent relationship with his child, once he has his own strong bond with them, jealousy tends to subside. So sometimes anger over trivial things does come from a legitimate issue or feeling. This being said, his feelings are no excuse to act awful. If he's upset, express that in a mature way, not by throwing a tantrum.

Obviously he is more important than your kid. It's not like you personally grew your kid inside yourself for 9 months, and they definitely don't rely on you for shelter (depending on age) and maternal affection, right?

I don't believe he thinks he's more important. Maybe he's just a bit insecure or possibly neglected and would actually just like some more attention. It does happen, of course he didn't need to pick a fight..simply talking it over could have helped.

Has be brought up this issue before? It's one thing to have pictures of both your spouse and your kids, but if there are overwhelmingly more pics of the kids than the spouse, i can see how the spouse might be a bit jealous. That said, the proper way to deal with it is not to pick a fight but to express his dissatisfaction in a mature manner.
