Today, my husband and I agreed that he would name our first born and I would name our second. He's dead-set on naming our child "Raindropp" no matter whether it's a boy or girl. FML

Best Baby Names of 2021
Today, my boyfriend has had name ideas for his future son and daughter even before I met him, but so have I. He disregards my ideas and suggestions, and is hell bent on giving our kids names because he likes "the way they sound." 'Hippopotamus' sounds good, but who’d name their kids that? FML
Today, my French wife chose the name of our unborn baby girl. She wants to call her Fanny and won't change her mind. FML
Today, my girlfriend of three days asked if we could start naming our future children. FML
Today, my husband and I were talking about names for our expectant child. I told him since I named our daughter he could name our son. He's decided on a name from 'God of War'. My son is going to be named after a make-believe cartoon character - Kratos. FML
Kid A
Today, me and my husband are having our first big marital argument. Our baby still doesn’t have a name, all because I want to call her a normal name and he wants to call her some obscure name from an anime he really likes. I’ve never seen him this stubborn about anything this stupid. FML
Copycat
Today, my father-in-law announced the name of his new son, my husband's half-brother. The first name and last name is the same as our son, who I gave birth to 4 months ago. FML
Today, I had to yet again tell my mother-in-law that I wasn't going to name my unborn baby "Ermintrude" after her late mother. My husband told me to stop being difficult, and that he agrees that it would be nice. FML
Joyful news!
Today, I learned that I'm expecting twins. A boy and a girl. My husband, upon finding out about this, immediately suggested that we give them Star Wars names. But not Luke and Leia. Oh no. He wants to name them Darth and Vayda. And he is absolutely serious about this. FML
Today, I found out my wife named our son after her ex-lover. FML
Build your own
Today, after my wife gave birth to another of our daughters, she announced that this was the last one. When I reminded her I still needed a son to carry on my name, she replied, "Well, you've got four girls. You want a boy? Birth him yourself!" FML

Raindropp sucks. But Rain for a girl is pretty. Maybe you can compromise?

I think parents can be the best and yet worst people out there through names. Like your Salt and Pepper would be funny for maybe a year or even better if the babies were twins but the kids are screwed through school

Your the one that agreed,

Parents who pick these stupid ******* names for their children deserve to be tied to a pole and beaten for abusing their children like that. If it turns out to be a boy, your husband is damning him to a childhood full of torment and abuse from other children. Those children should be allowed to torture your husband for being a moron.

Other than that first part, I agree. Boys usually get tormented about names nowadays. That would be a cute name for a girl though if you didn't spell it with two Ps

I'm sorry, even for a girl that name would suck. It sounds like a stripper name.

My name's Tuesday, and I don't agree with much of what you said... other than the if its a boy part. Just because you have a unusual name doesn't mean your parents need to be beaten, nor does it mean you'll be tormented. Most people I know compliment my name, and I've only been made fun of for it a very few times. It's not abuse by your parents, jeez. I'd rather be named smething quirky and unusual than "sarah" or "emily" or another common name.

Don't worry, your kid won't be the only one with a stupid name. I've met kids named Mister, Jay-see-on, and Trixie. That generation is doomed. Tell your man to think about the future, when that kid is 25 and needs to put it on a resume. Or when he's 50 and has grandchildren. Not so "cute" then.

The name Trixie is a shortened version of Beatrix/Beatrice. I know an 80 year old called Trixie, it isn't a generational thing.

That isn't a bad name for a girl... But a horrible name for a boy.

You need to fight tooth-and-nail to get rid of that second p. Raindrop is an unusual name, but with a double-p, it's simultaneously pretentious and idiotic.

Name it like Ro-A. Pronounced, Rodasha.

Lol. Seems like something somebody that wants to name their kid raindropp would do...

My cousin has us call him La-A (pronounced Ladasha), but his name is Spencer. It's funny when it's only a joke, but not as an actual name...
