Today, my hand was stung by a wasp. It has resulted in all my fingers being swollen and therefore much bigger than usual. I'm getting married tomorrow and there's no way I can get the ring on my finger. FML

Today, my fiancé heard I was having a rotten day at work. He stopped by the flower shop and bought me a lovely rose which I put right next to my work station. That is until a giant wasp flew out and stung me. I still have a swollen arm hours later. FML
Today, I started my job as an assistant to a beekeeper. I forgot to put gloves on, and got stung like crazy. My hands swelled up to the size of baseball gloves. Turns out, I'm allergic to bees. FML
Today, I found out I was allergic to bees, the hard way, at my wedding. FML
Today, my recently married friend took off her wedding ring to make bread. Being single and pathetic, I tried it on to see what it would look like. It got stuck on my finger. The ER doctor had to cut it off. FML
Today, it's the third day my ring won't come off. I used soap, vegetable oil, lotion, soaked my hand in ice to make the swelling of my finger to come down, and even my mom pulled so hard she dislocated my finger. FML
Today, I had to take my fiancé to the hospital so they could remove a tampon applicator that he claimed he somehow "fell onto". It was lodged up his nostril. I'm marrying this man in a week. FML
Today, I was with my kids. We saw a tiny little bug and they started freaking out. Trying to show them that bugs are not scary, I picked it up. It bit me and now I have to go to the doctor because my hand is the size of a balloon. FML
Today, I got home to find my dog had found and eaten my wedding rings. I get married in 2 days. FML
Today, there must have been a wasp clinging to my front door because when I walked outside, it dropped between my glasses and my face and began stinging me all around my eye. I don't know if my eye is more swollen from the stings or from me repeatedly punching myself in the face. FML
Today, I was trying to swat a wasp in my bedroom. I got so frustrated that I ended up punching myself in the face. The wasp is still here, and now I look like I've been in a brawl. FML

It's okay! As emergencies go, yours is pretty easy to deal with. You could put it on a chain and have your significant other put it over your head, maybe? Whatever ends up happening, congratulations on the marriage!

you can reduce swelling of a wasp sting by allowing it to soak in vinegar; this can be done by wrapping cloth soaked in vinegar around the site. perhaps OP wrapped a vinegar-soaked tampon around her finger?

Go straight to a pharmacy, there must be something to rapidly reduce the swelling. You may have to put the ring on your other hand until you're better. Sorry this happed OP.

I think that some creams do reduce the swelling overnight. Don't worry op, you'll be fine :)

My uncle has had this happen to him numerous of times. Take an allergy pill like Benadryl, and keep ice on it, Swelling should go down over night. Congrats on the wedding though!! Hope everything works out

I agree. But if the pill doesn't work, go to your doctor. A steroid should fix it. But this should be a last resort.
