Today, I told to my girlfriend of 5 years that I'm depressed about having no friends, no job and a difficult family life. I told her that she's the one constant that keeps me going. She decided this was a good time to break up with me to "find" herself, since I was being so mopey. FML

Wow. A partner should be someone you can turn to during hard times to help you through it, not someone who judges you for how you deal with it or how long it takes you to come to terms with it. Sorry for your loss op, for now just focus on your family and help each other through this.

Wow. What a bitch. She probably wanted to break up for other reasons and used this as an excuse to leave. That might not make you feel better, but it's worth considering that your emotional state isn't the real cause. I hope you find the support you need, OP.
