Today, my dogs broke through our electric fence, one of whom managed to get his collar off. I picked it up and, without thinking, went across the fence line. I screamed like a chihuahua being run over by a bulldozer. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Karma
Today, I let my dogs out, and then realized they didn't have their electric fence collars on. I ran inside to get the collars, then dashed out to put them on my dogs. I ran through the electric fence. The collars were on. FML
WOOF!
Today, I ran into a parked car and fell into the gutter. All because a dog suddenly barked at me. From the other side of a wooden fence. FML
Today, I walked outside to see my friend frantically waving and running at me, yelling something I couldn't understand. I smiled and started to jog over to him until I realized he was screaming "RUN!!!" We spent the next 10 minutes running from his neighbor's 5 vicious chihuahuas. FML
Today, I was walking my husky when she saw a cat and bolted toward it. I couldn't let go of the leash because my hand was tangled up. Forced to run along, I ran into a parked van at full sprint. I lost my dog, broke two ribs and have to pay for the dent in the van. FML
Naughty boy
Today, I was walking my dog when I tripped on the leash, dropping his treat bag. He snatched one, looked at me, and ran full speed in the opposite direction. I had to chase him for three blocks, yelling his name. He thought it was a new game. FML
Ouch!
Today, I was leaning over a fence in a pasture to get a closer look at something. Nobody warned my nuts that it was an electric fence. FML
Cujo 2: Electric Boogaloo
Today, I was mauled by my own dog. I own a Chihuahua. FML
Doggy dog world
Today, I was going for a relaxing walk but my dog broke free from his leash. At the same time, my 80 year-old neighbor was leaving her apartment. My dog ran inside her home and she screamed. I ended up in her bedroom, running around her bed, chasing my dog who was trying to get at her pantyhose. FML
Today, I was putting my horse away into her pasture, when I slipped in the mud. In a haisty attempt to support myself, I grabbed the electric fence in on hand, and my horse with the other. The shock from the fence traveled through me to her, sending her running and leaving me with 2 broken teeth. FML
Today, I paid $5000 for a new fence in my backyard for my dogs. My dog escaped three hours after the contractor finished the fence. FML

37- just go to a corner and think about what you said.

What a jerk off. If its on your hand and it hurt that bad imagine how much it hurts around te poor pups neck. If its an absolute must to have can't you just set the shock lower so it won't hurt as bad.

I have been shocked by one of those when I was 12. It was not that bad. I was carrying it too. It was on a 175 lb Pitbull.
alliewillie 22
Pitbulls are supposed to weigh between 35 and 60. 175 is larger than most great danes.

Therein lies the novelty apparently
mrssuarez2011 12
Yeah can't say I've seen 175 lb pit. My hubs was close to 80 and huge, maybe it was a typo, or bs.

Eew, pitbulls are so ugly.

What an odd metaphor at the end

*Simile
bitchslapped22 14
Similes are metaphors
saIty 17
Yes, similes are metaphors. However, OP uses the word like, which should lead you to say simile. Not metaphor.
Panic_Moon 4
Metaphors are like similies.~
bitchslapped22 14
Exactly, a simile is simply a metaphor using like or as, meaning I can say metaphor if I want to.

No, you can't. Just Google it, before I bitchslap22 you.

Similies are not metaphors. Please go back to grade 7 English class.
saIty 17
50- I guess your grade 7 English teacher didn't teach you that similes are types of metaphors.

I'm very sorry salty that I said metaphor instead of simile. I just thought "odd simile to say" sounded a little weird, to be honest.

What an odd thread at one mix up (ah well, not uncommon in here, however this is on the slightly stranger side)
bizarre_ftw 22
Hey look ^ a metaphor :)

As if we know what a chihuahua sounds like when it's being run over by a bulldozer...

Well most dogs only get zapped once or twice before they learn. And it's only for a second I'm thinking this guy held onto it for awhile getting shocked
irateyou 9
Why would it magically only shock the dog for a second, but shock the person "for a while"? He needs to turn the setting down or leave it off all together.

In reality, dog fences don't hurt when the collars shock you. I'm calling bs.
missshaunamae 0
maybe now you might consider a more humane way of keeping your animals under control. you Deff deserved that
FYLDeep 26
Even though most of the times when I pick those shock collars up I'm nowhere near the fence, I still NEVER hold onto them by the electrodes. That's just asking for trouble.

Teaches how that dog feels every time he tried to cross the fence asshole.
ladycamo 0
dogs are supposed to be smart, and if the dog continues to try to go over/ past the fence after seeing what happens, then the dog deserves it
