Today, I told my unemployed boyfriend to pick a town anywhere in the country that he thinks he can find work in. I offered to find myself a job there, find a flat, and pay for rent, bills, and food while he looks. He said I was selfish for wanting him to hurry up. It's been three years. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend of three years that I wanted to get married and have a child within the next five years. He responded by packing up my things and showing me the door. FML
Today, my fiancé told me that he expects me to agree to quit my job to cook and clean after we get married, or he will not show up at our wedding. He earns minimum wage and my salary is 17 times higher than his. FML
Today, I found out that the only reason my boyfriend got a job was so that he could buy weed. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me he wants to break up. But not until after our anniversary tomorrow, because he's already gotten dinner reservations for us. FML

I'd say stick to your own plans. He was at least honest with you, it doesn't mean to say that he doesn't care. But yeah, it does sound selfish. Basically, just explain to him that you aren't going to change your plans for him to get a truck, and that if he wants it so badly, he should earn the money himself. If he leaves you for it, you're better off without him.
