Today, my boyfriend of more than two years told me in front of all of our friends that he'd trade me for some Playstation 3 games. I laughed it off because I thought he was kidding. He made it clear that he was serious. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me, because apparently I need to "grow up". He's the one who excessively plays Call of Duty and still has Pokémon and Bionicles in his room. FML
Today, my husband got angry and stormed out of the house because he claims I wasn't pressing the buttons he told me to while playing Pokemon. FML
Today, my boyfriend who’s rage quit multiple games, screamed cuss words for hitting too many red lights, and broke his new phone when a legendary Pokémon escaped after a raid in Pokémon Go, told me I was too dramatic. Sorry for being depressed that my biopsy results weren’t good. Shit happens, huh? FML
Today, I threatened to break up with my boyfriend over the Trolley Games in Toontown Rewritten for trying to sabotage my scores. We're 24 and 26. FML
Today, my husband started a conversation with, "In Pokémon…" and ended the same conversation with "…and that's why we should divorce." FML
Today, my boyfriend "proposed" to me. When we first started dating, he told me that he hated the concept of marriage and absolutely never wanted to go through with it. So I laughed and turned him down, obviously thinking it was just a joke. He was serious. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me to beat him up so he could look tough around his friends. When I just stared at him, he added, "Please don't break anything though. Nothing too serious." FML
Today, I got fired, apparently for being racist to black people. When I told my boyfriend, he couldn't stop laughing. He's black. FML
Today, my boyfriend got mad at me because I refused to keep him company while he took a shit. FML

Good point. I know there are people who don't like it but don't necessarily hate it either. Personally, it isn't my cup of tea. I played with my cousin once like ten years ago and even though it didn't appeal to me, I can see why it's so loved. It's creative, cute, fun and even challenging. Who could hate something that's been popular for so long and is enjoyed by kids and adults?

It's made for kids, but there's no other game out there quite like it. For instance, games like CoD and Battlefield are similar, because they are in the same genre. Even games like Skyrim and Fallout: New Vegas have several similarities (role playing, level-up-'n'-pick-yer-perk, weapon and skill specializations, etc.). But no game is in the same genre as Pokemon. The closest I can think of is DQM, but even that's pretty far off.
