Being asexual doesn't necessarily mean that you don't want to be in a romantic relationship. It just means that you have no desire to ever have sex. Plenty of asexuals go on to have healthy sexless romantic relationships. Unless he is aromantic as well (he has no desire to have romantic relationships) or he felt that a sexless relationship would be unfair to you it kinda sounds like he was just looking for an excuse

Sexuality is and evolving thing he didn't start out where he is now.and he probably wont end that way. Im not saying he will like sex again but sexuality is created from personal experiences, hormone levels, environmental factors, religious views, emotional state of mind, and many others. As these things change so do our preferences and sexual urges. That is why I hate labeling anyone's sexuality because without and indepth discussion one only sees a.small part of what a person finds sexualy appealing.

I can't tell if this was a joke or something, but in this case asexual just means that he isn't interested in having sex

I laugh at all these asexual gender confusion people. These are not real things...crap people in first world countries made up because they know nothing of real suffering, so they have to create something to suffer from. I guarantee if you were worrying where your next meal came from, or couldn't find water, or were being chased by ...I don't know Lions or terrorists with guns or something (or worse yet, terrorists carrying lions with guns?), you wouldn't be whining about things that aren't really important.

Comment did not violate the rules (I read them just to be sure I didn't do something wrong)...Nothing shocking or hateful about what was said here. No bad language or advertisements and obviously no spamming. If anything, I was commiserating with OP and showing sympathy for having an idiot as a boyfriend. asexual people can still have crushes and love, they just don't have sexual feelings towards anybody.

I'm guessing he probably doesn't even know what that means & just wanted to dump you for another gal, on the other hand...he may have just realized he's gay...or just a serious case of guilty conscience (is he overly religious perhaps?) only time will tell. Sorry op...you're better off with someone who actually cares & wants to be with you.

I agree that it wasn't a good reason to just dump OP on the spot, he should at least have had a long talk about it with her first. But it really annoys me that, when someone comes out and decides to tell people about their sexuality, they're so often met with things like "maybe he's actually gay" or "maybe he's just guilty", "maybe he's religious", etc. It can be really insulting
