Today, my band and I played at our first ever real gig. Our drummer turned up high out of his damn mind. After ruining our act with his godawful performance, he screamed "HELL YEAH!" then ran and dove off the stage into a nearly non-existent audience. We were told to never come back. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my band played its first real gig. It was going well, and I, the vocalist, thought it would be a good idea to stage dive. I underestimated the distance between the stage and the crowd and crashed into the floor. FML
Today, my band was playing its first serious gig. I was in the middle of a solo when a drunk guy tackled me, causing me to crash into the drums, breaking them and my guitar, hitting our drummer, knocking him out. FML
Today, my bandmates showed up to our gig drunk. Our drummer kept losing the rhythm and the lead guitarist was more concerned about staying drunk than playing the right notes. In the middle of a song, they both gave up, put down their instruments, and kept sipping a beer, while at least cheering me on while I finished it. FML
Today, I had my first gig with my new band. I was concentrating on my guitar during the second song when I tripped over the singer's microphone cable, hit my head on the bass drum, and blacked out. When I came to, people were applauding, apparently thinking it was part of the act. FML
Today, my band got booed off stage. FML
Today, I was in a band with some friends and we got our first gig at a local festival, but I'd already agreed to work serving drinks at the festival. My bandmates got really annoyed and kicked me out of the band. They then went ahead and performed the song that I WROTE, without me, at the festival where I was working. FML
Today, at a talent show, my band got booed before we even started playing. FML
Today, while playing a gig with my band, I tried pulling the classic "playing the guitar with one foot on the monitor" rock-star pose. However, I misjudged the height of the monitor, didn't notice the puddle of beer in front of it, slipped, and fell off the stage into the security guy. FML
Today, the drummer from my favorite band threw a drumstick into the crowd during a concert. It hit me on the head and bounced into my friend's hands. She left with a drumstick from a band she didn't want to see in the first place. I left with a bruise. FML
Today, I was supposed to perform my first concert in front of a crowded audience. As we were about to go on stage, my band decided to roll a joint outside. The cops just happened to pass by, and now I'm on my own. FML

My brothers band has the same problem with their douche bag of a drummer. For some reason they think they are the most important part of the band. Sorry bout ur gig though. Don't worry there will be many more to come

Drummers are like that because they lead the tempo and all other instruments are dependent of them in a group.

First time I ever read that about drummers. That's the kind of things I have rather heard about guitar players or singers actually. I guess you can play any kind of instrument and still be annoying though.

They do lead tempo to a degree but are not necessary in a band. You can easily keep the tempo with just two guitarists or a guitarist and a bassist if they have even the slightest bit of talent. In order of importance in a band it goes #1 singer #2 guitarist #3 bassist #4 drummer. (All depending on style of music of course) but that being said no one would just go to see a drummer by him/her self. They are just filler to the background.

It's common knowledge 46. Would u go to just see a drummer play? Hell no. Would you go see just a singer? Definitely. Would you go see just an acoustic show? Definitely. Hell I would go see a violinist before seeing just a drummer.
