Today, it dawned on me that I've been married for 6 months, but because of the Army I've spent only around 12 days total with my wife. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that instead of being stationed in Afghanistan, my husband of 9 years has been "stationed" at his other girlfriend's house. FML
Just Dependa Things
Today, I came home from a one-year Army deployment, only for my wife to tell me she feels claustrophobic with me in the bed. She then asked for a divorce. FML
Long distance
Today, I'm in my fourth month of training in the US Navy. I'm 3000 miles from home. I joined to give my wife a better life. Since I've been gone, she decided that she liked being single. FML
Today, I'm seven months into a twelve month deployment. I called my fiancée, and she dumped me. The worst part is that two days ago, I re-enlisted to go to a unit an hour away from her house. FML
Today, I learned that the girl I've been seeing for 6 months is actually married. She just dates me when her husband is pissing her off. FML
Today, my family sat me down and told me I was spending way too much time with my boyfriend and not enough time with them. My boyfriend has been away in Iraq for six months and just came home a week ago. FML
Hat Up
Today, my partner was sent 450 miles away by the army, after he had been home for only 22 hours. Yesterday they told him he could come home for two weeks. I guess the British army doesn't want me to be happy. FML
Change of plan?
Today, it's been one year since my husband moved six states away for his job. The plan was for me to stay behind until I found a job, but I still haven't in all this time. I can just feel the distance growing between us. FML
Today, is the 6 month anniversary of my boyfriend and I. Turns out next month he will be celebrating the 3 year anniversary of him and his wife. FML
Catfished
Today, I found out after 6 months in basic training that my wife of 3 years was playing the long game to scam me. She took me for 25k while I was away, then left me for a homeless meth head. I've been "getting divorced" now longer than we had been happily married. FML

Last time I checked, we were free before we were in this war. We actually invaded THEM. Not to say I don't have respect for the troops, but we are fighting in a war that isn't ours. And for my pre-determined response to the people that will ramble on about how they attacked us first: Not one Iraqi has ever killed any of our people on our soil. 9/11 was mainly Saudi Arabians. As for OP, I'm terribly sorry for you. I don't think your life is fuckable, nor do you deserve it at all. You have a wife that loves you enough to stick by you for long periods at a time without seeing you. Be happy you have her, she sounds like a great girl.

So this guy is crazy about me, but we haven't ever been on a date because he went to the marines before he contacted me again. He was supposed to come back in June but it was postponed till August. So I know how that sucks for you. Hopefully things will get better. (I support you for being in the Army, btw)

Ive been married for almost a year and he has been through training/ been deployed for about 9 months of it. BUT I knew before we even started to date that there was a BIG possibility of him being deployed. But none the less, I am glad that I am going through it rather than someone that can't handle it. Army Strong.

Well, I live in Mexico, but I'm not originally from there. And I think the people who cross the border are wrong to do so, as they will only face suffering and discrimination in the US.

Armies are tools of war, not the cause. Sometimes it's not about protecting ourselves, but keeping balance. For instance, we have allies which stay protected from the rest of the world with our protection. These types of relationships are what helps keep the world in balance.

Why don't all of you shut the hell up about war and it's pros/cons and focus on the fact that this dude has been with his wife twelve days?

how about realizing that he KNEW that he was in the service and that would be his life. its not a surprise. so instead of going out to kill people via governments orders...get a job here n stay with the wife.

Aw, but like the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fonder. But yea, you should treasure the time spent with your wife instead of going online to post a FML.

Maybe you shouldn't have gotten married right before you deployed just for the bah, bas, and fam sep pay. No one made you join. Suck it up and press on, soldier.

Well, think of it this way: When you see her again, it'll mean THAT much more to you both! : )
