Today, I woke up to a small fire on my roof, burning up small twigs and branches. The cause? Last night, I threw a sparkling firecracker up very high, only to have it blown onto my roof by the wind. It's going to take $2,000 to fix the damage. FML

Common sense isn't so common.

You managed to fall asleep between throwing the firework, and waking up to a smoldering roof? So, did you fall asleep immediately after throwing it?

First it was the roof, now your wallet must be on fire.

You're lucky your house didn't come down on top of you in your sleep. Exercise a little common sense in the future, OP. YDI

Not gonna lie but you kinda deserved that one buddy. Imagine if it was someone else's house and it burnt down.

Which is why it's illegal to set off crackers/fireworks in a residential area (here, anyway).

Consider yourself lucky it didn't land on someone's head

well, dumbass? have you tried not doing that next to your house? try an open field for a change.

man, good thing this isnt a zombie apoclypse, you would've died quick...

Why would you even do that?

YDI just like all those people who play with firecrackers and lose a finger or two... be thankful you're not one of them yet
