Today, I woke up to a small fire on my roof, burning up small twigs and branches. The cause? Last night, I threw a sparkling firecracker up very high, only to have it blown onto my roof by the wind. It's going to take $2,000 to fix the damage. FML

On the bright side it's not as memorable as if you shot off fireworks inside your house

Definitely Ydi, but on the bright side, at least it wasn't your neighbor's roof.

What a happy new year that must be

I'm just a little confused: why did it take so long for the fire to start?

good question

It probably just smoldered for a while, fires do that a lot.

there are so many fire damage in Chinese new year by play firecrackers ,and a few young guy lost eyes each year. God bless you.

Just be thankful it's only $2,000. That's lucky in the case of house fires.

Glad your neighbor doesn't have to pay for your stupidity

thats why we dont shoot fireworks around homes but truly sucks

YDI for not cleaning your gutters firstly, then double for throwing a firecracker up there.

All these YDI's must really burn
