Today, I went into labor and got my husband drive me to the hospital. Instead of staying by my side, he rushed back home for a World of Warcraft raid. His excuse? His friends were counting on him and they'd be pissed if he let them down. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went into labor with my first child, and as much as I pleaded, I had to wait for my husband to finish his raid in World of Warcraft before he'd take me to the hospital. FML
Today, my boyfriend forgot to pick our son up from daycare. His excuse? Fighting in a battle in World of Warcraft was far more important and he had to stay absolutely focused. Our son had to wait for two hours. FML
Loyalty
Today, it was my two year anniversary with my boyfriend. As we were about to exchange gifts, he got a call and said he had to go home immediately. What was the emergency? His guild leader couldn't find another healer to finish a raid and promised my boyfriend gear if he would step up. FML
Today, I begged my husband to take me to the ER cause my stomach hurt so bad I thought I was gonna die. He told me to go sit on the toilet and stop being a drama queen. I drove myself to the hospital just in time for my appendix to burst. I almost died because my husband was busy playing Xbox. FML
Today, my fiancé nervously sat me down for a "serious chat". The chat wound up with him asking if we could postpone our wedding, because his World of Warcraft guild had a raid scheduled for the same day. FML
Game on
Today, I realized that my husband has a video games addiction. I am currently pregnant; he brought us to the same country he's in so we can finally live together, only for me to witness him being glued to his laptop all day and all night playing WoW. He's forgotten I even existed. FML
Today, my husband went in for surgery and handed me an important document. It wasn't a will or anything similar, but a list of items and gold he wanted passed on to guild members on World of Warcraft. FML
Let that sink in
Today, I was rushed to the hospital to deliver my child. On the way, I called my husband who was in a bar with his friends. Drunk, he just yelled, "BROS BEFORE HOS!!" and hung up. FML
Today, I had to explain to my son that his dad was too busy in a raid on World of Warcraft to be at his award ceremony. FML
Today, my husband was 45 minutes late to our wedding reception. Later, when I asked him why, he said, "I was playing Legend of Zelda and had to finish my quest." He thinks this is an eligible excuse. FML

You can always have another kid. But that WoW raid will never happen again.

All these people crying divorce are ridiculous. Yes, what he did was shitty. Is there a valid excuse? Maybe, but probably not. Holy shit, people. It's not like he murdered someone. If everyone got divorced because of crappy decisions and dumb mistakes, no one would be married. Instead of totally blaming and leaving, how about they talk it out? If it becomes a habitual problem after seeking every avenue to rectify the situation, then sure, I understand that is a better grounds for divorce. I hope to the high heavens all you crazy asshats never get married.

I said it may be cause for divorce and I'm happily married. My husband and I have 2 kids and the birth is one of the most important days of your life. She had to go through everything alone. I couldn't forgive him for choosing not to be there.

She should've seen this coming, and never married him to begin with.

91- I agree that they should talk it out before OP considers divorce. As long as this was a one time thing, I don't think it's something to get a divorce over, especially now that they have a child. But surely you can see that leaving your wife while she's giving birth to your child to go and play a game is a big ******* no-no.

As I said, it was a shitty thing to do. I didn't condone it in the least. I would be livid of my husband did the same thing. But I wouldn't divorce him over it. Everyone makes bad decisions but that doesn't necessarily make them bad people. There's no excuse for what he did but having people readily yell divorce without giving the guy time to own up and attempt to fix his problem is asinine and shows what a poor state we live in.

As a guild leader in Warcraft.. What the hell?? While we love raiding we emphasize that real life is always more important than the game - even if we are in the middle of a raid. I'm amazed that there are people out there who think the opposite, and I'm so sorry you had to go through that alone. The priority should be obvious! Congrats to you on your baby :)
