Today, I went into labor and got my husband drive me to the hospital. Instead of staying by my side, he rushed back home for a World of Warcraft raid. His excuse? His friends were counting on him and they'd be pissed if he let them down. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went into labor with my first child, and as much as I pleaded, I had to wait for my husband to finish his raid in World of Warcraft before he'd take me to the hospital. FML
Today, my boyfriend forgot to pick our son up from daycare. His excuse? Fighting in a battle in World of Warcraft was far more important and he had to stay absolutely focused. Our son had to wait for two hours. FML
Loyalty
Today, it was my two year anniversary with my boyfriend. As we were about to exchange gifts, he got a call and said he had to go home immediately. What was the emergency? His guild leader couldn't find another healer to finish a raid and promised my boyfriend gear if he would step up. FML
Today, I begged my husband to take me to the ER cause my stomach hurt so bad I thought I was gonna die. He told me to go sit on the toilet and stop being a drama queen. I drove myself to the hospital just in time for my appendix to burst. I almost died because my husband was busy playing Xbox. FML
Today, my fiancé nervously sat me down for a "serious chat". The chat wound up with him asking if we could postpone our wedding, because his World of Warcraft guild had a raid scheduled for the same day. FML
Game on
Today, I realized that my husband has a video games addiction. I am currently pregnant; he brought us to the same country he's in so we can finally live together, only for me to witness him being glued to his laptop all day and all night playing WoW. He's forgotten I even existed. FML
Today, my husband went in for surgery and handed me an important document. It wasn't a will or anything similar, but a list of items and gold he wanted passed on to guild members on World of Warcraft. FML
Let that sink in
Today, I was rushed to the hospital to deliver my child. On the way, I called my husband who was in a bar with his friends. Drunk, he just yelled, "BROS BEFORE HOS!!" and hung up. FML
Today, I had to explain to my son that his dad was too busy in a raid on World of Warcraft to be at his award ceremony. FML
Today, my husband was 45 minutes late to our wedding reception. Later, when I asked him why, he said, "I was playing Legend of Zelda and had to finish my quest." He thinks this is an eligible excuse. FML

Sounds like your baby needs a step dad

You can always have another kid. But that WoW raid will never happen again.

To be fair, raids only last 3 hours where as labor can take up to 18 hours.

Wasn't there an FML a while back about a man attempting to move his and the OP's wedding date because his party scheduled a raid for the same day? Wonder if this is the same dude...

Wow just I'd kill my husband if he pulled that stunt on me. I'd disconnect the wifi

That is downright rotten. It's hard enough having a baby, but to be alone and having a baby when the father can very well be RIGHT there is worse. It was hard enough having an emergency c-section to have my daughter when my husband wasn't in the room, but out in the hall because they wouldn't let him in, but your husband had the choice, and he should have stayed to support you and help you. Labor and delivery is hard, the pain of contractions alone is hellish, having him there would have helped. I just hope he was back before the birth of the baby, and if he wasn't, he's a dead man. Congratulations on your new baby! :D I bet that baby is adorable beyond words!

Respect to you though for having a baby and then feeling cool enough to write on fml about your husband. Definitely make him change all the diapers

So you're moaning because why? If you knew he was that addicted to a game and still had a baby with him, you're the idiot here. Or were you one of the ''If I have a baby, he'll change!!'' crowd? I guess you realized too late that he won't change. Truth is, you're both idiots and the only one who is going to suffer is the child.

I'm surprised he was able to make the time to have sex in the first place

Man, that sucks. I play WoW, and my husband plays off and on, as well as other MMORPG's, but he'd never do anything that insensitive or immature. Your husband does not have his priorities straight, and if he continues to put a game before his family, you should probably try counseling. If that doesn't work, or if he refuses, then your only other option is to leave him. Games are fun and time-consuming, but your family, and especially the birth of your child, should always come first.
