Today, I was reading an article about girls who have low self-esteem and end up whoring around to feel better. When I finished, I realized it was actually written by my best friend. The girl in the article was me. FML

Today, I was reading a blog post by a girl that I really like. In the post, it said, "I know I'm not beautiful." I told her that I thought it wasn't true at all. She responded by crying hysterically and asking me why I would say that. It turned out that it actually said, "I know I'm beautiful." FML
Today, my best friend told me that she is only my friend because she is prettier than me and being my friend boost her confidence. FML
Today, I figured out why my 'best friend' hasn't talked to me in weeks. She assumed an FML post she read was about her. It was posted in 2009. I met her last year. FML
Today, I was talking to a female friend online. She was typing out a story bit by bit about how awful she was feeling after being teased. I was responding with, "So, so true" but because of my slow typing it appeared after she wrote, "Doesn't help being fat." FML
Today, I realized that the woman I love, who is my best friend, deserves better than me at the nadir of my life. We're still just friends, but she's been a much better friend to me than I have been to her. It's time to disappear and fix myself. FML
Today, my friend needed to talk out bad feelings. Then she urged me to open up as well. I hate doing it, but it only seemed fair, so I confessed my deep insecurities. Not only did she agree with everything, but she also helpfully added that I'm boring, have no life, and all my dreams are unattainable. FML
Today, my girlfriend read an FML by some guy about fight he had with his nutjob of a girlfriend. It was so bizarrely similar to a fight we had recently that she accused me of not having any balls and bitching about her to strangers. It wasn't even my story. FML
Today, my mom tried to give me a pep talk to boost my self confidence. Somehow, it ended up turning into a conversation about how much of a loser I am and how I have no friends. FML
Today, my girlfriend found a letter I'd written to myself for moral support while we were broken up, in which I explained why we would never work out. Apparently I made a convincing argument. FML
Today, inspired by my own relationship, I encouraged my best friend to go after the guy she likes. She did, and I'm now single. FML

I am not sure if this is actually true but if it is I am sorry to hear that. Although I know that it is not un common for people to do things such as this to try and boost their self-esteem. I know that in most cases this actually does more damage than it does good. I guess it depends on why you are taking the actions that you are. Many people lead different lifestyles and this does not make you a bad person. I am not sure if this is what you actually do or if your friend was just saying this but it doesn't mean you are a bad person but if you are having issues with your self-esteem I hope you look for alternative ways to love the person that you are and realize that there are much healthier ways to do so that are much more effective. If you are content and happy with the person that you are people tend to be naturally attracted to such individuals. Not sure if this was to much or not or if it will help at all but god luck!

Not to be mean or anything, but could I just point something out? I have realized that most women have selfesteem issues. I mean, in the last week I've been trying to get a friend of mine to not think that she's not ugly, which, infact, she is not. She is utterly beautiful. The conversation ends with her still calling herself ugly AND calling herself a chainsawing *****. FML.

It's true, every woman has self esteem issues, but some are able to deal with it responsibly, and others prefer being a ***** just to feel like they get attention. Just take the hint your friend is trying to drop and work on not doing those things that she obviously thinks makes you seem skanky.
