Today, I was driving home from work and noticed the car behind me was tailgating me pretty badly. I was starting to get angry with the driver, and kept glancing in my rear view mirror at him. While I was doing so, the traffic ahead of me stopped, and I rear-ended the car in front of me. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was in a car accident. After screaming at the woman for running into me, I got in my car and drove off. As I was driving away, I was staring her down when I ended up rear-ending the person in front of me. FML
Today, I was driving in stop and go traffic and passed two accidents in the process. I got nervous and decided to change routes to avoid getting hit. As I was trying to find an alternative route on my GPS, I rear-ended the car in front of me. FML
Today, as I was driving to work, I glanced in my rear view mirror to see an old man behind me using binoculars to see in front of him since we were stuck in a huge traffic jam. He rear ended me. FML
Today, while driving home, some idiot kept tailgating me, so I slowed down, hoping he'd overtake me. He didn't, so I pulled to the side of the road. He did the same, in front of me. He kept toying with me until I crashed into another car trying to speed away from him. FML
Today, while at a stop light, I was rear-ended by a car behind me. The guy got angry at me, because according to him, I should've known that his car has poor braking distance, and so I should've moved forward a few more feet to compensate. FML
Today, I stopped at a red light, when I noticed the car in front of me was in reverse. I honked at the driver, hoping he'd realize and place the car in drive. He thought the light turned green and immediately backed into me. FML
Today, I was tailgated on the highway. There was a car in the lane next to me, and my tailgater was WAY too close to risk slowing down, so I sped up in order to switch lanes, which bumped me over the speed limit. That's when my tailgater turned on the flashing lights. FML
Today, I was driving around a parking lot, looking for an empty spot. Someone was backing out a bit too quickly as I was about to pass by, so I honked to announce myself. The driver instead panicked and reversed into my front bumper. FML
Today, I was driving to work and stopped at a stop light. A full 2 or 3 seconds passed, followed by a car rear-ending me. The idiot driving it got out and gave me hell, calling me a maniac because I braked "too quickly" and didn't give him a chance to react. FML
Today, I was driving home when a guy crashed into me from behind. I got out of my car and told him that I was going to call the cops. He then asked me if we could move to a corner because we were blocking the way, so we then got back in to move. I looked in the mirror to see him driving off. FML

This is why you're supposed to leave more space in front of you when you notice someone tailgating you. YDI for paying more attention to the jackass than to the road while you're driving.

I love when people try slamming their breaks when they are the ones going so slow. That is when I attempt to get over, cut them off, and slam on my breaks. See if they like it.

and when they hit you that's when YOU get the good ole ticket...brake checking is illegal and unless you can prove you had a valid reason to slam on your brakes you get cited for it. enjoy 😂

If someone's tailgating you, take your foot off of both the brake and the gas and gradually slow down as you are coasting, the tailgater will inevitably pass you. That's the logical, mature solution. The fun solution is to get you one of them 1,000,000-candlepower, nuclear-powered spotlights and mount in rear-facing on your rear dash and give it to the ************ on your ass. He'll be "blinded by the light. Cut loose like a douche. . ." You are free to choose.

either that or put your hazards on for a couple seconds and tap the brake a little. or brake check them. last time i did that, i scared the kid behind me so bad he was at a full stop for about 30 seconds...and then he kept about 20 car lenghts behind me. it was pretty funny.

I had that happen to me for the first time. He was going 15 under the speed limit in a lifted F150 and had these super bright lights on and turned them on right in my eyes. Obviously that was his plan in the first place since he was going so much under the speed limit and had enough money to waste by putting better lights in the back of his truck than he had in the front.
