Today, I was coming home from a date, I saw my ex standing in my drive-way. He had dumped me 2 months ago saying he couldn't talk me. To make him jealous, I made out with my new guy before greeting him. Turns out he couldn't talk to me because he had had cancer and had been afraid to tell me. FML

Today, I was making out with my boyfriend. When we took a break and went downstairs, he checked the mail. He had received a letter from his ex-girlfriend, which he opened in front of me. He then began sobbing on my shoulder and broke up with me. He still had to drive me home. FML
Today, after several years spent hung up on my ex, I was finally moving on. I was on a date with my new boyfriend when my ex walked past us. He broke down crying, got on his knees, and begged me to come back. FML
Today, I went to meet a guy that i had already started to be involved with at a bar. We laughed, kissed and had a great time, until he admitted he was just doing all of this to make his ex-girlfriend jealous. Guess who was waiting for me outside. FML
Today, I was invited out to a date by my ex-boyfriend. He seemed really excited to reconnect and kept holding my hand and complimenting how I looked. Out of nowhere a girl runs up to him screaming. It was his current girlfriend, he was using me to make her jealous. FML
Today, I made my way to a bar for a first date with a guy I had been talking to online. It turned out he was actually my ex-boyfriend in disguise, trying to get revenge for dumping him. FML
Today, I was hanging out with my ex's new girlfriend. I found out he was dating us both at the same time and was comparing between us. That is why he broke up with me two years ago and is still with her ever since. FML
Today, I went on a date with a guy I've been talking to. We ended up at his house around 4 a.m., but as we walked through the front door, his ex-girlfriend was sitting on the couch, apparently waiting for him to get home. They still live together. FML
Today, I ran into my manipulative ex-boyfriend at a party. We were chatting and I mentioned that the guys I have been seeing lately all turn out to be jerks. He said, "Yeah well, you dumped me and don't deserve to be happy." Apparently he has been creeping and scaring off any guys interested in me. FML
Today, my boyfriend broke up with me. While he was dumping me, he was holding hands with his new girlfriend. FML
Today, I was dumped. My boyfriend was too afraid to break up with me, so he sent the girl he cheated on me with. FML

Er, because she got home and found him waiting for her in the driveway?? You don't hang about in your ex's driveway for no reason, waiting for them to come home because you need to tell them something/talk to them - and being that she knew nothing about the cancer, I can totally see the logic behind her train of thought. Not that that makes it any less petty, I totally agree with you there...

To all the people who voted that she deserved it: how on earth could she have known that? It was probably just as horribly awkward as for him. It's just a really screwed up situation. Okay, she acted immaturely, but there was just no way she could have know this.

#19 exactly. She was feeling hurt because the guy she was with rejected her. Then this dude shows up, unannounced on her doorstep, when she's about to say goodbye to the new guy anyways. OF COURSE she's going to play up the fact that things are going well between them and make out a bit. Her ex is the one who showed up at her door. The only uncreepy thing about it is the fact that he was there to tell her he had cancer. And how the hell was she supposed to know that until he said it??? FYL darling, but how were you supposed to know? Just be as supportive as you can now :)
